During his career he has followed Facilitator Development programmes with Dale Carnegie® Training (USA), Leadership Management® International (USA) and British Council amongst others. He also takes every opportunity to update himself as a Facilitator and in Curriculum Development. For example, in 2019 he followed two Train the Trainer courses: One from Civil Service College, Mauritius on Coaching and Mentoring and another Train The Trainer Course from Financial Services Institute in Mauritius. And in November 2019 he followed a course on “Curriculum Development with reference to DACUM Methodology” from Rwanda Management Institute. Concerning the course “Instructional Leadership” per se, Girish has been introduced with the initial version of the course called in September 2018 in Nairobi where feedback was given by Master Trainers who attended the event so as to fine-tune the course. He then attended the Upskilling Master Trainer Event for the final version of the Instructional Leadership in May 2019 in Johannesburg so that he can be ready to train and support Instructional Leadership facilitators. At that event Girish also facilitated a session of that Instructional Leadership course in addition to following the full delivery of the training.
Girish is a well-respected figure in education and training in Mauritius. He was a Board Member of the Mauritius Qualifications Authority from 2003 to 2011.
